It's been a quiet few months at the office, so I decided to take one of the levels I liked from our latest title (as of the making of this post) King Arthur: A Knight's Tale and see what I can do with it. Immediately as I opened this level I thought would look really cool in dusk colours, so that's what I set out to achieve.
These screenshots were taken in our in-house editor. The version I had done it on happened to have a bit of noise for the directional light at the time, so that and the camera angles aren't very representative of what is possible or what it would look like in-game. To reiterate, this lighting scheme is something I made well after the release and not as it appears in game. I've included to screenshots from this level in their original lighting set-up, which wasn't done by me, for comparison's sake. I used that as a starting point, so all I had to do was mess around with some sliders and curves.
